Our team doesn’t just screen companies; we engage directly with leadership to drive meaningful change. Over the past year, we engaged with 34 companies across 41 meetings, focusing on issues that matter most to our members’ financial future and global sustainability goals.

Stewardship means holding companies accountable while supporting their progress. Here are a few examples of how we’ve done this:

1. Aptiv (Industrials): Navigating Leadership Transitions
   When Aptiv’s long-serving CFO moved to an operational role, we engaged with their CEO to understand the rationale behind the change. The new CFO brings a track record of success, and Aptiv’s accelerated share repurchase program reflects confidence in its undervalued stock. We also addressed concerns about “disintermediation risk,” ensuring the company remains a leader in automotive technology—not just a commoditized parts supplier.
2. Hologic (Healthcare): Strengthening Transparency
   Hologic recently updated its risk disclosures amid speculation about regulatory investigations. Through direct dialogue, we confirmed no active probes and learned that revised language aimed to enhance transparency. We’ll continue monitoring their disclosures, particularly as leadership transitions signal potential succession planning.
3. Prysmian Group (Industrials): Accelerating Decarbonization
   As a high-impact climate transition issuer, Prysmian’s €100 million decarbonization commitment is critical. We pressed for clarity on Scope 3 emissions and how their acquisition of Encore Wire aligns with targets. Their plan—electrifying operations and phasing out gas—shows progress, but we’ll keep advocating for quantifiable milestones.

  Carbon emissions (21), clean tech (12), and climate transition plans (5) led the agenda.

• Governance (102 engagements):
  Executive pay (28), board independence (14), and organizational culture (18) dominated discussions.

This targeted approach ensures we address the issues most material to each sector—whether reducing emissions in industrials or enhancing governance in healthcare.
